I know he's family now but I must say he must be the dumbist dog I have ever met and trust me - I've met a lot of dogs! Oh you might be wondering whom I happen to be talking about, that would be my new "brother" Lite. He single handedly succeeded in giving Mom a heart attack! He is the only dog I've seen able to get his head stuck in the van door as it opens! (It's a magical door that opens on its own). In his rush to get out the door, he disobeyed Mummy and attempted to rush out the door to get to Nanny's house. In reality, he fell off the van seat and landed between the door and the body of the van as the door was opening and then proceeded to squiggle so much that he got stuck again when Mom yanked the door to make is stop opening and then she had to shove the door to make it open because he then got twisted and stuck again! Mom still hasn't stopped ranting about him. I think she's (Mom) just so happy that the van door didn't crush him (it would not have stopped on it's own) that she wants to throttle him! I'm going to see what I can do to get her a glass of wine...

Introductions...

Well to start this I guess I'll have to go back to the beginning, my name is Zanara and I am ... well who are we kidding golden or not I am still not telling you my age! I'm 7 and will be that age for the rest of my life. Anyway, it's not polite to ask a lady her age. Now where was I, oh I remember, I first picked out my Mom years ago and we were just the two of us for a while. Then I remember something happened and Ebony came to live with us. She was a very bossy lady but great fun as long as things were done her way. Then Dad came into the picture - he's not bad, he lets me on the couch and feeds me treats from the counter in the magic room called "kitchen" when he thinks Mom's not looking. Then came the "minis". Now that they are a little older, they're not that bad. When they were really tiny though - there was a lot of screaming, crying and pulling on me or at my fur! Ok so obviously I didn't mind too much (I let let use me as a stepping stool to get on the couch,) but the kept giving me loads of goodies. Ebony though, she couldn't stand them! But she had issues with children abusing her before she came to live with us. Hey she would always warn them if they were getting too annoying and they learned pretty quickly not to bug her and she gave them their space. It all worked out well seeing as how they lived with Ebby for a good 6 years before she left. A couple of months ago she left and didn't come back - but she wasn't feeling all that well so hopefully she's at a better place. But by God, did Mom have to get "it"?

I now have to put up with the annoying little upstart everyday (I really miss Ebony sometimes) who goes by the name Lite. Technically his name is Chrysolite but hey, he's not the brightest cookie in the jar. I will say one good thing for him - due to Mom's desire for him to grow and be well (silly woman) we now eat twice a day!! Besides that I would just like to brag and say at least I get to sleep with Mom and Dad in there room and he still has to sleep in his crate :) Alright that is it for today I guess, so I'll... wait Mom now says I have to put a picture of him on too. Something about being fair?
